Hello and thank you for your interest! / LinkedIn profile
I started my career in embedded programming in 2011 at Behr-Hella Thermocontrol, where I was a member of the standard software team and mainly responsible for AUTOSAR. Starting in this field allowed me to expand my knowledge of programming languages such as C and C++ and to learn a lot about software architectures.
In 2014, I decided to go back to school and worked in parallel as a freelancer for the company van Rickelen to finance my master studies. Besides implementing embedded software modules, I developed small desktop applications based on Java, VBA and C#. Later, I had the opportunity to act as a lead developer in a larger project and also participate in the development of the system architecture.
In 2018, I ventured into a startup with two friends, which we unfortunately had to close at the end of 2019. It was about blockchain-based identities and lives on in the project Blobaa. In the course of the startup, I mainly worked with languages like JavaScript and TypeScript and technologies like Node.js, React.js, Next.js and React Native to develop prototypes and demonstrators.
Among other things, we were able to win an online hackathon for the Ardor Blockchain and placed third in a challenge at the Odyssey hackathon. Odyssey describes itself as the largest hackathon on blockchain and AI.
Since April 2020, I am now part of the development team at CHAINSTEP, where I continue to design and implement blockchain-based projects.
At the end of August 2020, I was finally able to graduate and win a second hackathon based on the Ardor Blockchain with my master’s thesis.
Since I am not a native speaker, I prototyped a tool for proofreading my English texts based on the translation engine of DeepL for the master thesis. In January 2021, I further developed this prototype as part of a new project called checkL.
All in all, I have enjoyed developing for many platforms and with many technologies. I have developed modules for embedded systems, built desktop and mobile applications, and implemented cloud-based prototypes and projects.
In general, I enjoy new challenges and technologies and love learning new things. I’m also a big fan of e-learning platforms, open source software and the concept of a 4-day work week, which gives you room to implement your own projects and play with new things.
I hope you enjoyed it and I appreciate your interest :)
